Horsetail Falls at Sunset, Yosemite

During the last two weeks of February, the sun sets at an angle that puts the east face of El Capitan in shadow, while still directly lighting Horsetail Falls. If the ephemeral falls are flowing that day, and if the sunset is relatively cloudless, you may catch several minutes of this "firefall" effect.
