Sand Dunes, Death Valley

You can tell how long it's been since a strong wind has blown on the dunes by how far you have to hike to get beyond others' footprints. It must have been calm for a long, long time prior to my visit, because I had to trudge about an hour before reaching any undisturbed dunes.
